Bloomberg is reporting that Media Create (market researcher) has preliminary figures showing that Microsoft only sold 28% of its initial Xbox 360 stock in Japan when it launched there just two days ago (December 10th). So basically, a boy posted some images of himself playing an Xbox 360 on the net through connections his step father has working at a new job at Microsoft. How lovely of him to do so... There are three images he posted, two that include the system itself and one aimed at the t.v. he was playing off.
Sega announced today that they have entered into an agreement with America's Army: Rise of a Soldier developer Secret Level. The San Francisco-based development studio will be recreating a classic Sega franchise on PS3 and Xbox 360. We're hoping for Alex Kidd in Miracle World, or perhaps a remake of Alien Syndrome, or maybe... just maybe, gulp, Space Harrier, but then again, who knows?

A report from Merrill Lynch Japan is claiming Sony is expected to suffer a loss of more than $1 billion during the first year of the PlayStation 3's release. The company believes it will cost approx $500 to make each unit and is estimating Sony will sell the console for $399. Ken Kutaragi doesn't think the price point will be a problem because consumers will want the new system - and he's rather hoping they'll buy lots of games...

Marvel's first family of Super Heroes has hit the store shelves with the release of Fantastic 4 from Activision. Based on Twentieth Century Fox's feature film, the team-based action adventure game lets players take on the role of Marvel Super Heroes, Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic, Sue Storm/The Invisible Woman, Johnny Storm/The Human Torch and Ben Grimm/The Thing and master each character's powers -- stretching, invisibility, shooting fire and leveling superhuman attacks -- to overcome the evil Doctor Doom.
